Japanese (jap) Food

Yummy…. I love it… Jap food ๐Ÿ™‚

If you don’t like something spicy… then Jap food is the best choice! Ya, I do that. I like vegetables… since I am a vegetarian; and Jap resto comfort me with all delicious vegan appetisers, sushi, soup, and dessert ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love my mother’s meals and bit difficult to find the similar one in Jakarta. Things make unique are my mother was always cooking fresh vegetables and she cooked it just before dine time. So all was fresh and nice. Till one day I entered the Japanese company and explore the cultures; esp. meals. I found myself fall in love with Jap food `ยฐโ—‡`~ โ™กโ™กโ™ก

Inside Out

This is a movie title, Inside Out. Seems this movie is for children, but actually valid for all ages. The movie tells us about our emotions, joy… sadness… anger… disgust… fear. This is a real life movie, I think. We live in swinging emotions…laughing, crying, etc.

Let’s review a bit, how it links to our daily life. When we’re kid, most of us did joyful thing such as having first gift, eating ice cream and candy, playing dolls with friend/parents/sister. All those happiness build the strong foundation of “joy”. When we’re growing up, so many things happened and other emotions came up: disappointment, forgotten, dishonest, abandoned, grateful, etc… Those emotions could transform ourselves become someone different. Then one day we heard someone saying “I like you as a kid, so cute and nice”.

Based on my experience as an adult: if we developed strong foundation of “joy” – especially when we’re kid, then it will easier to comprehend the situations, because there are so much good/creative/positive “dormant” memories and we can use it to stay still. My father was a great “reminder”… he was always reminding about the fundamental concept and the basic of “joy”.

Every single person actually has their own “key” to stay balance, however it often forgotten when they grew up. We need to get the “key” back and there are some ways such as meditation, visiting homeland, meeting old friend, mingle with families, sharing with societies, etc.

So, like wise man says “we could control ourselves and choose who as a contoller – joy or sadness or anger or fear or disgust”.

For me, I’ll choose “joy” as controller ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy Jakarta – Car Free Day

Jakarta…. we could find anything in here… meet all Indonesian culture… and mostly it happened while “car free day” on Sunday (06.00 – 12.00).

I, as part of this city, make it as a “balancing tools” for my body, mind and soul. Why..?
Cause in car free day, everyone could express their creativities. So, I could see whatever I couldn’t see in my daily office life… such as: living “zombie” who asked us for a picture, or a group of students playing skateboard in the middle of main road, or policewomen singing traditional song in front of their stations, or traditional market in the main road (Sudirman – Thamrin), or other activities which explores Indonesian culture, and one sure thing is “NO CAR” ^_&

Societies mingle and enjoy the moment… start from the very senior citizens till the new born baby. Anyway, I also have my own rituals:
1. Running for 2.5 km
2. Having mineral water
3. Having traditional snack “cimol”, traditional Sundanese snack; plus homemade soy milk
4. Walking for 1.5 km
5. Having Chinese porridge, my favourite

So, just come to Car Free Day, explore your hobbies, and enjoy the diversity of Indonesia ๐Ÿ™‚

22 Aug 2015 – the coziest shopping mall

Shopping mall… I am living this city for more than a decade and shopping malls keeps the city awake.

As an emerging country, Indonesia growing fast and in a year we can count… how many new building and shopping mall. So many!.
Seeing the same thing in every shopping mall make me bored and sometimes I thought “there is no added value anymore”; at the end… for me, shopping mall is just a place for lunch.

Till one other mall build: Lotte Shopping Avenue ๐Ÿ™‚
I like this mall, close from my place and the way they designed the environment… such a cozy place… not too crowded, so many sofas and nice corner, the comforting light, and I feel relax. From investment point of view, every week I invest in this mall… and the return meet my expectation ๐Ÿ™‚

Then I make conclusion: per 22 August 2015, Lotte Shopping Avenue is the coziest mall.

I’ll enjoy my time in there… as always: having my favourite coffee + reading fav books + chatting with the friendly staff + watching fav movies + having very nice “pisang goreng” + vegan sushi ๐Ÿ™‚

Such a lovely day… hehehe
